American Craft Wooden Pipe with Swivel Lid by The Mill

The Mill L-35 is a wooden pipe with a swivel lid and one of the longer capper designs in The Mill’s lineup. Made from colorful Rainbow Wood, it measures 4 9/16 inches overall and combines a covered-bowl design with a longer wood shank and removable mouthpiece.

The swivel lid covers the bowl opening when closed, while the layered Rainbow Wood gives each pipe its own combination of colors and patterns. The exact appearance can vary from the product photos, but the L-35 design and dimensions remain consistent.

Important Rainbow Wood Color Variation

The Mill’s L-35 is made from layered Rainbow Wood, so the exact color combination and pattern of the pipe you receive will vary from piece to piece.

The product photos represent the general shape and multicolored appearance of the pipe, but your individual piece may show different colors and layered patterns. The swivel lid design and overall dimensions will remain the same.

Longer Capper Design

At 4 9/16 inches overall, the L-35 is one of The Mill’s longer capper pipes. Its 3 7/16-inch wood shank accounts for most of that length, followed by the 1 1/8-inch mouthpiece.

That makes the L-35 worth considering if you want a wooden pipe with a swivel lid but prefer a longer profile rather than one of The Mill’s smaller pocket-sized capper designs.

What to Expect From Rainbow Wood

The Mill’s Rainbow Wood is a laminated material made with contrasting colored layers. As the wood is shaped and sanded, those layers become visible across the finished pipe and create the multicolored appearance associated with the L-35.

Because the pattern exposed in each piece varies, the pipe you receive may have a different combination of colors and visual details than the one shown in the photos. The Mill specifically lists the L-35 wood color as varying while remaining similar to the pictured example.
