The telescopic chamber extends for easy scooping and closes without a separate cap or loose loading parts. Its redesigned chamber provides 30% more loading space than the previous chamber design. Pipe X does not use a heat indicator; instead, heat is applied manually to the X-shaped heating slot while drawing through the device.

A natural wood handle, genuine carbon-fiber ring around the air-path area, and steel mouthpiece complete the construction. The carbon-fiber ring provides an additional insulating layer around the air path, while the slim format keeps the Pipe X compact and portable.

Choose the standard Pipe X when you only need the device, or select the Pipe X Holder Bundle for a more complete carry setup. The standard Pipe X does not include a torch lighter or Pipe Holder.

Manual Heat Control Without Electronics

Pipe X is heated by directing a compatible torch toward the X-shaped heating slot located opposite the black “X” marking while inhaling. This simultaneously heats the chamber and moves hot air through its contents, producing the hybrid convection-and-conduction heating method specified by The Hippie Pipe.

The official Pipe X instructions recommend approximately three to four seconds of heating for the initial draw, followed by shorter one-to-two-second reheating periods when additional heat is needed. Because the system is manually controlled and has no heat indicator, heating technique is an important part of using the Pipe X. Allow heated components to cool fully before cleaning.

What the Pipe X Holder Bundle Adds

The Pipe X Holder Bundle includes the Pipe X, a Double Jet Flame Torch Lighter, and a Pipe Holder. The holder provides dedicated spaces for the Pipe X and torch, a metal-lined device compartment, and an integrated drawer for prepared dry material, keeping the main components together in one compact setup.

The included torch is supplied without butane fuel, so compatible fuel must be purchased separately. The manufacturer also notes that the holder's locking mechanism can feel firm when new and generally becomes easier to operate after repeated use.
