Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate you taking the time to share it.

That can definitely happen sometimes with handcrafted wooden slide tops, especially when they’re brand new. The fit is intentionally made a little snug at first so it stays secure over time instead of becoming loose too quickly. Natural wood can also slightly expand or contract depending on humidity and temperature during shipping.

Usually, after a bit of regular use, the slider naturally smooths out and “breaks in” pretty nicely. A small amount of natural beeswax or food-safe mineral oil along the sliding track can also help loosen and smooth the motion if needed.
